Yes, playing with the DOF to enhance the part of body you want to show is a pretty usual things that all photographers practice I think...

For example, if the model is in "doggy position" in diagonal in front of me, I can focus on her pussy and the face will be blur (I want enhance the pussy area to have a "hard" picture), but I can focus on the face and the pussy area will be blur (and the image more soft)
The effect is depending on the lens and the way you use you camera, but it is sure not mistake :))

I have to say that I'm not a real fan of those zooms - except portraits. Why? Quite simple: I like to see the models in their complete beauty. But I can live with them 'cause there are not that much in the sets of EG like on other sites. And these different photo and editing techniques show all the capabilities of erotic art. That's very interesting for me :-)
